2023 Ford e450 cutaway chassis availability

I have a 2023 Class C on order with a 2023 e450 chassis specified. Does anyone know if these are beginning to be delivered or when the RV manufacturer should begin to expect delivery. I have read that Ford started production on 2/10/2022 with a 8-10 week build time.

Thanks

Contact your dealer or manufacturer. See if they can get you the chassis VIN. You can then determine the chassis year of manufacture.

The only way you’ll know for sure what year the Ford E450 chassis is……

You have to know the 17 digit number visible in the lower corner of the windshield in front of the driver’s position. It can be easily read from outside.
Your statement says “with a 2023 e450 chassis specified”. I’m not sure what that means, but YOU NEED TO KNOW THE 10th CHARACTER

I am surprised to read that the 2023 model year chassis is in production in February of the previous year. That surely applies to the motorhome manufacture, but I thought the chassis started to roll off the production line in August of the previous year.

September 2021 is when the 2022's would have started rolling, at least in the auto world. Cab and chassis could be different

There are a few incoming? 2023 models advertised at various dealerships that have VIN numbers which indicate year 2023. I believe that a VIN number is assigned at production start.

Are you talking about the vin of the HOME or the Ford chassis.
My motorhome is listed as a 2018 Sunseeker ON A 2017 Ford E450, and there’s a lot of people on these forums will tell you the same…..quite a number of owners have different model years where the Ford is a model year before the HOME.

Just saying.

Yes, this is the sixth motorhome i have bought new, including class As, B and Cs.
Yes, it appears that the industry standard is for the coach to be built on the previous year chassis due to earlier availability. That can be a real issue when the latest model year chassis contains several improvements or additional features.

Just saying.
