Any info in the Winnebago Fuse with the Ford Transit Chassis

We just discovered this little Winnebago with a 3.2L diesel engine? Anyone have one?

Hi;

We have had ours since Last February. It is a 2017 Fuse 23a. We love it. It is just the perfect size for me, my wife and the beagle. A 3rd person can join if they want but after that it runs out of room. Drives like a dream. Small enough to get in and out of places easily. Went up and down the mountains in WV this summer with no problems.

Check out the Facebook group (Winnebago Fuse Owners) and my blog at The conFUSEd RVer for more info on the Fuse

Have you had any clearance problems. We sometimes travel stay in back yards or BLM off road camp sites. Thanks.

If you get the latest update to the Fuse (2017.5) you should be OK. I have one of the first ones off of the line and they were 1-2 inches closer to the ground.

I have scraped the stairs going over a large speed bump. Going in to the area I went over the bump no problem, Going back out I scraped the stairs. Scraped the rear going out a raised driveway onto a crowned road. I went in fine as well but got caught coming out. If I had an extra 1/2 inch in either case I would have been golden so with the latest updates would have been fine.

As far as BLM or backyards. Backyards I would feel good enough. I am not sure what BLM areas you are going to. I have been in a car in several BLM areas and some would be fine and some would not. I think that if it is a place where you would feel good taking a car you would be good. If it a place you would want a jeep than not so much. Our old mini-van had much less ground clearance

Hope this helps

If you want to tow a car with you, check out whether you can with the load limits that are found on small motorhomes.
