Battery Combiner settings

Well , I finally purchased a Magnum ME-SBC battery Combiner to resolve my house bank issues. Now with the 2-12v house batteries being charged from the engine alternator , they should always be fully charged when stopping for the night.
My question is , what are the optimal settings for the following Adjustable Voltage Setting dials ?
- Connect Voltage ( 12.8 - 13.8 VDC )
- Low Voltage Disconnect ( 12.5 - 13.5 VDC )
- High Voltage Disconnect ( 14.0 - 15.0 VDC )
The manual doesn't call out default settings or optimal settings.
I hope someone on the forum has already determined what works best .
Magnum's tech wasn't much help .

It's depends on the battery type and manufacturer's charging specs for the battery.
You'll have to contact the battery company's people, or look up the specs for the battery you choose.

First off, the alternator should already charge the house batteries while driving. You should look into that.

Cut in = 13.4 volts

Low voltage disconnect = 12.6 volts.

High voltage disconnect = 15 volts.

Here is what Cyrix sets theirs at. Click image for larger version

Battery Combiner

Thanks Twinboat , I appreciate the feedback .
We have an older coach , 1999 Tioga , that didn't come with the ability to charge the house bank batteries from the alternator .
I used the voltage parameters you provided and the Magnum ME-SBC combiner is working great.

My 1999 Gulfstream, class C, had a simple key operated solenoid that connected the start battery to the house battery. I could hear it clunk when I switched the key to ON. It was mounted above the brake master cylinder.

Maybe yours doesn't have a system, but with the combiner, now does.

Enjoy
