Battery Upgrade for Forest River Forester

Due to current issues and the increasing difficulty finding campgrounds we are camping on some ocean front acreage we bought a couple years ago. It is off the grid so making our rig boon docking efficient has been the goal.

I just finished with a battery upgrade from 2 Trojan T1275+ SLA which were the largest batteries that would fit in the entry step battery compartment. These were 150Ah @ 20hr rate and connected in parallel. I decided to go with LiFePO4 cells. I used 16 ea 100Ah Fortune cells in a 4S4P configuration with a 200A BMS, 250A Buss fuse in Blue Sea fuse holder.
I mounted these in the under kitchen counter outdoor compartment (garbage bin) I had previously installed a Xantrex XC inverter/charger 2000W/80A at this location. I rerouted the factory ground cable, leveling Jack system power cable and utility 12V cable to circuit breakers in a junction box next to the battery bank. The Xantrex is fed from the junction box bus bar through a Blue Sea 2 position disconnect switch. The first position gives the inverter a soft start and second position bypasses the soft start resistor. The cost of this project was half the cost of equivalent Battle Born batteries.

I still need to install a WH meter because it is impossible to tell the SOC of LiFePo4 batteries by measuring the voltage.
