I think that a visit to metal fabrication shop would be very helpful. I agree that swinging down would be best.
On another note. How many Prism owners are looking for information on their unit? We like our Prism but the information that comes with it is very skimpy! Would like to find information on the piping for the grey and black systems. Where is water pump located? Also, a wiring diagram would make me feel a bit better. How many Prism owners out there?

The water pump can usually be tracked down with your ears. Check with Coachman for wiring and plumbing diagrams.
Often owner's manuals are light on details, I think enough production line changes happen that they don't want to get too specific because they'd need rewriting and legal review each time an outlet location was changed. Go through every compartment and cabinet with a flashlight and note any valves, switches or fuses. Write down make and model of every system you find. Time on Google searching for manuals and troubleshooting guides will be well spent when something comes up in the future.

'Often owner's manuals are light on details.' No owners manual as such. I will find this information and build a file. This info is very pertinent when you depend on your own expertise to stay out Rv repair shops ($100-$120 an hour for questionable skills. 23 yrs of active RVing with 5 rvs and I say the manufactures need much more information in owners packet.
Does anybody have a way to attach bikes to a view 24G? Looked at a hitch rack, but the slide is an issue
I like this made in Sweden Thule two bike rack that secures the bike by the frame and the tires lock in position, adjustable for different sizes of bikes, does fold up empty and tilt down with a quick release, center post does fold flat. I found it for about $250 shipped this spring on a website. Bikes are very secure easy to load and unload the bikes.
Straight up hitch mount might work if you are talking BICYCLES. Depends on how high the bikes actual height are when mounted and if the bottom of the slide will safely pass over them.
For sure the hatch access to the under bed storage below the slide will be partially or completely blocked for easy access.
OTH, it may not matter. PITA as it may be, just remove the bikes before you put the slide out......put them back when you leave. One more thing to do....
