Ford will have prewired for a brake controller.
You will need to buy a pigtail to connect the controller to the Ford wiring. Something like
this one. Instructions on how to find the connector inside the dash are on that Web page.
The Tekonsha P3 is a popular model (link
here).
Test to make sure that Thor connected the trailer electric brake wire to the 7-pin connector.
Once confirmed, connect the controller using the pigtail, install per instructions near driver's seat, and you're done- truly plug-and-play.
Oh, you may need to add a fuse and/or relay to activate the Ford wiring, or maybe not. You'll know as soon as you plug in the controller (I believe the 12V power is connected to constant 12V power, and not ignition-switched).
