It was 72 and sunny here yesterday! I used to haul scrap into a foundry in Coldwater Mi. from Padnos Iron and Metal out of Holland, Mi. Cant remember the name of the foundry, must have been almost 30 years ago

As a current RV Dealer myself for over 22+ Years I can honestly tell you many of those fee's are 100% dealer profit . On new RV's the RV manufacture pays the dealership to PDI the units and the customer should not be charged . On used RVs any dealer with integrity will include what it cost the dealer to PDI the unit and what the dealer paid to bring the unit to the dealers lot for sale in the total dealer cost that we add up before deciding on a asking price . Fee's are a way for less ethical dealer to advertise a lower asking price and then charge customers more profit by disguising the profit in the form of bogus fee's . Be careful the only thing you should pay is the sales price and any sales tax due that's it unless you are paying for extra services like warranties, GAP insurance, etc. I honestly am a little disgusted with the whole RV dealer fee scam . We make a price and that is the price plus tax , thats it short, simple and easy and no surprises (50 year plus used RV dealership)

Rule of thumb is sale price plus 10% for tax, license, etc...
In march of 2016 I paid 63000 out the door for my new Freedom Elite 23h.
I did the math and came up with 62.700.00, offered them 63000.00 and they took it.
What is the sale price ? Add 10% and see if they take it.

Wow! There's no way I would purchase from a dealership and offer them 10% OVER their asking price . . . even all up, out the door!

Most asking prices are terribly inflated to begin with, especially for new units, somewhere between 25% to 33%, so why in the world would you let the dealership set the price, and then offer to pay them MORE?

and PDI= Pre-Delivery Inspection, so if you pay, DEMAND a written Inspection Report FIRST and Review it BEFORE SIGNING.
