Chevy Kodiak/GMC Topkick Mirrors

Hey guys, I have a general question about the mirrors on my Kodiak. Last year, I drove to Delaware, when I stopped, the signal lens on my mirror was pushed in. Since them, I've tried and tried to pop it in, but it doesn't work. It almost feels like there should be something supporting the light from behind, so I really know if something broke off, or what the problem is. Does anyone have a clear picture of the back of the light, or the inside of the mirror, any advice at all on this?? Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

We don't have personal experience with the process of removing the signal lens but this post should help;
