Class C slide out issue
My friends have a 2017 Integra 28 ft with a single slide out. Some of the roller bearings that guide the slide out in and out along tracks, have had the nuts loosen up causing the roller bearings to fall out. They are located in New Jersey and have no faith or confidence in the dealership for repairs. They can still travel in the RV, just cannot extend the slide. Does anyone know of anyone who specializes in slide out issues. Location doesn't necessarily matter, as they like to travel. They are just looking for someone who knows what they are doing. Thanks in advance for any help.

Disregard my post. I contacted Lippert customer service and they talked me through their website which has great videos and photos of the different mechanisms. My friend is going to do the work himself. I am confident the end result will be much better than any dealership would provide, and also in a fraction of the time. Thanks

As well, that rule will apply to just about everything else.

Slide out issue has been fixed. My buddy was able to reattach all of the bearings. He lost one and had to order a new one $37.
He extended the slide all the way in the open position and supported it with jacks for safety.
He removed the theater seats and the dining table. He located where the slides and bearings were and using a jig saw, cut two 12" x12" holes in the floor. One over each bearing slide. This gave him access to the part containing the bearings. By cutting the holes with the slide extended, it prevents the openings in the floor, (which were recovered using the cut out pieces of floor) from ever being on the outside of the RV. He took one side off at a time, replaced the missing bearing, and re-tightened all of the remaining bearing nuts. He also put loctite on each nut.
When finished, he greased the tracks and re-aligned the slide. Works perfect. He seems to think even smoother than when it was new. He had approximately 14 hours of his own labor, but he's retired so he was taking his time. He now can check the bearing nuts once a year or so, without much effort.
Job well done

A lot of years seem to have this roller retention problem...... quite a few threads dealing with it. I'd bet the blue loctite ends the loosening problem. Hats off to your friend that "rolls his own".
Pez- If you have that Lippert website, could you post it? I have a (low mileage) new-to-me 2020 Jayco MH and would like to study the mechanism. I have been advised by other owners to "watch the rollers like a hawk". Thx

On left side of screen, click on support.
Another half screen will appear. Click on support videos. Then just look for whatever your issue is. Very helpful.

I am happy that my buddy followed my advice and tackle this project himself. He was resigned to the fact that he was going to have to take it to back to the dealer, who had already attempted a repair soon after he purchased the rig. They made the repair. It took 6 weeks. They ripped his linoleum floor in the process and had to "patch" the tear. Also had his catalytic converter stolen while parked in their lot. They did replace it but still a hassle.
I am sure they would have taken another 6 weeks and may not have done as good a job as my buddy did. And now he knows a little more about his rig than he knew before.
