I had a neighbor buy a light used, but older Class C several years ago. The interior was ruined from a leaky roof. He repaired the roof, gutted the interior and rebuilt it. His wife even may all new cushion.

First or second time they used it, the roof leaked. He sold it.

If you are about to start this, first find out how much it will cost to have a professional replace the roof (likely the roof sheathing also and maybe even some of the rafters) WITH A WARRANTY ! This will likely cost more than what you paid for the Calss C itself.

Then you can start rebuilding the interior. Better hope the floor is not rotted out.

The oldwizard, well that took me back. I was so busy worrying about the generator that wouldn't crank over that I wasn't thinking about any water damage. *heavy sigh*. I can't afford new, so I guess I just won't get anything.
But I'd rather know, and go in armed with knowledge. Thanks!

class "C" ?

Becca,
My son, Matthew, has a 2000, Four Winds, 32' class "C" , on a Ford chassis with a V-10 in it, with only 4200 miles on it for sale, in Buena Vista, Colorado.
New good tires and every feature in the coach works. NO roof leaks.

He's asking $22K, but is very willing to "talk".

You can call him @ seven one nine, three nine five, seven six one one.

Remember one very important thing.....RV's that are 15 or more years old with very low miles have SAT STILL a lot. Means the appliances, engine, transmission etc. have not be used or run or moved. These are most vulnerable to breakdown. Find a RV with more miles means its been used regularly and most everything works. There will still be issues (new RV's have more issues then used) However most mechanical things have been addressed.

My 31' 2007 Winnebago Access on Chevy Workhorse has 90,000 miles on it. I use it a lot. I upgrade as I go and am planning a 5000 mile trip here July 8 for 5 weeks. I maintain it like a pro.

I wouldn't hesitate selling it to my mother it's that good. You keep looking you will find something someone has taken care of.

PS I also wrote you a PM
