Coach Batteries won't charge with shore power

Hello,

I have a 2017 Thor Chataeu 31W and need to know if anyone can tell me where the Battery relay on my coach or any other trouble shooting gouge you can give me.

If you have 120vac to POWER CENTER, (120VAC BREAKERS) then it goes OUT thru the (specific) CIRCUIT BREAKER (120vac/15a/20a?) to CONVERTER (now 12VDC) thru (25a/30a/40a?) FUSE (fuse size varies by rig) to MAIN FUSE block/BUSS, OUT through another (25a/30a/40a?) FUSE toward battery on BATTERY CABLE. NEAR Battery, it connects to a 12vdc CIRCUIT BREAKER. (USUALLY within 18" of battery), then from that BREAKER to the COACH BATTERY/ies POS+ by large battery cable. HOPE this helps?

IF battery was installed REVERSE POLARITY, IT BLOWS BOTH OF THOSE FUSES; if system overloads/ shorts (e.g. battery terminal to ground?), it will trip breaker near battery, and/or blow one fuse. ****MANY CONNECT Battery BACKWARDS when black plastic corrugated protects RED battery cable ****

I'd your referencing you house ( coach ) batteries, there is no relay between the converter and batteries.

The converter powers the house loads and charges the battery thru a circuit breaker near the battery.

If you mean chassis battery, then there will be a isolation relay between the house and chassis batteries. Use the Aux start switch on and off and listen for it.

On shore power do you have ceiling lights? If not the it could be a bad converter or the salesman switch by the entry door is off.

If yes, then you need a volt meter to trace the wire from the converter to the batteries. Not having that rig. I would say there has to be a fuse in the charging line to the batteries and it is bad.
