Coach battery reads charged but is dead

I left my motorhome for 5 days in a parking lot. I chose not to shut down the coach batteries because it also turned off my fridge, even though it runs on propane. When I came back, the control panel said that the coach batteries were at full charge. But the fridge is completely defrosted and the water pump doesn't work, so clearly it's dead. I have run the generator for 30 mins to try to recharge them and then drove for another 30 mins but it's still dead. Are they dead for good? Is there a way to recharge them? Any advice?

Have you tried just putting a regular battery charger on them? Could be a problem with the on board charging system.

You'll need to charge them overnight, 30 min run time won't get it. Check battery charge with hydrometer after charging to see if you have cooked your batts. Costco has GC2 6v batteries $83 ea.

Get a voltmeter and measure the battery voltage at the battery terminals. They should read somewhere between 11.5 and 12.5 volts. This will tell you if the batteries are really dead or something else is wrong, i.e. a defective disconnect solenoid.
