I am interested in hearing from Coach House owners with the E450 Ford chassis and Mor-Ryde RS system. How do you find the ride? I know this is subjective but would still like any opinions on how well it rides.

I have owned 2 CH's, a 2004 231, and now a 2013 261. Both came with Mor-Ryde and the ride/handling were good, but improvable. The 231 with SafeT-Plus steering . Both are standard now. The best thing you can do is get an alignment to set the caster at 5+/-.This will greatly improve the handling. Handling/ride is kind of an individual thing depending on what/how you are used to driving. I had Henderson's Line Up do a "Road Performance Assessment" on the stock 2013. They gave it 4-10's, 5-9's, and 6-8's. After alignment, sway bars, and shocks, 6-10's, 6-9's and 3-8's

Thanks for the info. Looks like if I get the new Ford chassis many issues have been addressed by Ford. TFL Truck has a nice video on the new engine and chassis, and test a prototype RV.
I was ready to order a new Winnebago Class C until I recently heard about this upgraded chassis. I called the Ford Motorhome division to confirm it as well as the Winnebago dealer near the factory. I was never overly impressed with the E450 chassis ; this new one sounds like it will address my concerns. I will gladly wait for the 2021 model.

The video demonstrates the benefit and reasoning to changing out standard stabilizer bars for heavy duty versions. The test was done on a class-A chassis, but the same applies to a class-C.
Too bad Ford didn't pay Winnebago to build the exact same motor home on that 2020 chassis. There will always be some question due to the variation in test subjects because weight placed on the floor of the 2020 will be different than weight placed higher as is in a built-up motor home with two roof a/c units, hanging cabinetry, microwave, fridge, etc. Still the evaluation holds value.
I just took delivery on a 2019 coachhouse Platinum 271 on the Ford e450. I had rented a Thor on a ford e350. This one rides very nicely. Don’t even feel bridge transitions. Comfy seats in the cab. And not so loud that we can’t listen to classical music when we drive. Had a n earlier model of a ford f450 pick-up truck and this drives like that. Problem: you might forget you’re driving an rv.
We owned THIS MOTORHOME from 1983 to 2007, a 24 year period. It was made like a Coach House.
We had it garage-kept for all but the first 5 years. It was difficult to keep the rig looking nice as the surface aged. Finishing products (like Nu-Finish) always fell short. A full body paint job would have made maintenance so much easier, even if it was painted simple white.
With that experience, when we replaced our rig in 2007 with THIS ONE, we got the full body paint option. I have no regrets. 13 years later (yes it is garage kept) and the rig still looks brand new. I show it off now and then on cruise nights. People who don't recognize the previous design of the E-series chassis, think it is new. They even think I am a rep for the RV company. It's entertaining.
For boondocking get at least two solar panels and a 2000w inverter. Even with that our generator kicks in. We keep our skylight fans going when it is parked in our driveway between camping trips. The auto jack level system is great! Don’t skimp there. The memory foam mattress is also worth it. We have the standard paint. We bought our 2019 coach in June 2020. So someone else made those decisions. If I were to get a new one, I’d seriously consider the upgraded paint. I’d also ask for a soft start for my AC so I could run it plugged into my house on humid Cape Cod days or when pandemic boondocking in my daughter’s driveway and other boondocks. The capability is well worth it for what we purchased the coach for.
We just ordered our Coach House 272 last month and the delivery date is February 2021. Looking forward to hearing real life mpg estimates for the new Ford engine on a Coach House RV.
We're also looking at a Coach House for ordering in the future. Do they sell new at the stated MSRP? Is there an automatic discount off MSRP? Or do you have to negotiate each deal?
