Coachman class c motorhome support

Just want to let everyone know that if you're interested in a Class C motorhome, consider Coachmen for their motorhome quality and their great customer service.
I've dealt with Ron Ross at Coachman for the past year, and he has been extremely helpful and pleasant to work with.
Kudos to Coachman and Ron Ross!

I certainly agree! At a rally last year I met Ron, although I didn't have any issues with my PRISM 24G, Ron found a few things that were not 100% as far as he was concerned and he had them all fixed at no charge. My Coachmen PRISM is such a joy to drive and knowing that we have the support of such wonderful customer service makes our owning this RV great and worry free!

Coachmen

[I too have dealt with Ron Ross,Deb Detwiler and Mike Bear. Mike is General Manager, Deb is in parts and Ron is the go-to person with problems. I must say these people are so nice and helpful. They give one a very good impression of Coachmen. I have a Coachmen Concord 2010 used. Because it was used I needed manuals parts and information. It was such a pleasure dealing with these people. Kudos to all of them.

I try to do all my work and go to a dealer as a last resort. This is my eighth RV so I have come in contact with several dealers. Very few times has it bee a good experience.

We just purchased a 2014 Coachman Prism 24G . We have owned several different RV's in the past and, I have to say for a new RV we have had absolutely nothing wrong with it ... which is usually not the case with any new RV. This Prism is wonderful. I think we really lucked out with a great coach and a company that has been around awhile and I look forward to many years of "HAPPY CAMPING" !!

We have owned many RVs in the decades that we have been RVing, including 9 years as full timers.

Our little Coachmen was the first RV we have ever taken delivery of with no issues. We were amazed.

Our RV came without a rear ladder and the shipping charge for the ladder to get to our dealer was as high as the cost of the ladder. As we were heading through the mid-west that summer, we called Coachmen and made an appointment to get one installed.

We spent the night before our service appointment in the free campground near the factory.

Everyone at the factory was as nice as could be. The labor cost was fair and reasonable.

Got a question for Ron regarding the wiring of marker lights on the coachmen freelander, 2009, freightliner engine. The lights went out, not sure why as they may have even been out when we bought it used, but can't figure this one out. looks like no power going up to the lights so want to know where the wires go coming from the marker lights. Tested fuses in the compartment and under dash and all seem fine.

Surge protectors

Don't know if this the place to ask a question, I'm a new member. But my question is: does my 2015 Leprechaun 280DS have a built in surge protector? I have been reading about all the problems a campsite pedestal can have and various reviews of the benefits of a surge protector but wouldn't my main breaker panel take care of any electrical problems from the pedestal?

I was looking at a 96 Santara 31.5 with 35,000 miles in Florida. I cant afford a new one and people seem to list the older ones WAY above NADA. I had a couple of mechanics steer me hard away from older motor homes, mainly because of rot. Tires, hoses, belts, seals, brakes, fuel lines, all will go bad. Quote "You couldnt give me a 96 motor home" They were in the repair not the sales business so they didnt have a conflict, quite the opposite they stood to make a chunk of change off me. Any thoughts or opinions on this?
