Collapsed awning: Looking for new parts to repair

We had the fun of watching our new electric awning fold like a house of cards in a light rain. The mechanical arms slide upward while the awning extends, making a reach of about 6 feet. The arms bent outward, popping rivets and generally bending at stress points. The roller and shade cloth appear to be unharmed.

What we are now investigating is if it is possible to purchase just the replacement hardware to rebuild the arms.

Has anybody had any experience with repairs like this?

I have found repair parts for my Dometic manual awning on Amazon. Also parts for the Norcold fridge and the Onan Generator.
