Dog Food Station Upgrade

After stepping on the dog water and food bowls constantly, I came up with this. Cut into the wasted space under the dinette bench and made a food / water station.

Made by cutting the hole, Making a box out of plywood and attaching it to the inside of the bench. I trimmed the cutout of the side of bench with plastic Sheetrock
J-molding. It only came in white so I had to pray paint it. Matched the existing wood color perfectly. I also added a motion light for her.

She actually eats better now. I think having the food in the path of walking made her nervous. Now I guess when her head in inside the opening, it's like having her own little area to eat now. Hey, it doesn't take much for those little brains to make them happy, happy.

That's a pretty good use of that space, and you did a great job making it his spot!

I was actually on the phone with Thor tech support and while talking I mentioned this upgrade. He asked me to send photos and after seeing it he forwarded them to the appropriate department that I guess looks at new ideas.
