E450 Chassis Battery Disconnect Switch

Hey all,

I want to purchase a chassis battery disconnect switch for my E450. I'm considering these:

For Top Post Batteries, Low Vertical Operation - Wirthco Engineering, Inc.

For Top Post Batteries, Low Profile Horizontal Operation - Wirthco Engineering, Inc.

I have to swing by the coach tonight; its in storage. I was wondering if any other Ford E450 owners have a similar switch installed and whether or not I'd run into any problems.

???

Thanks !

I haven't used or checked either, but have read that some have experience the handle vibrating up on the type that have a handle that goes down into the two prongs to connect the battery.

Well that's not any good. I really don't want to have to wrench the negative off every time I leave the coach for a couple weeks.

I purchased a DC circuit breaker instead of a fuse and disconnect switch. I authored an article for the Feb 2013 Motorhome magazine on a battery conversion that I did on my 2007 Jayco Greyhawk. I found it on the web for a fraction of what I could buy it locally. Larry
