E450 V8 too light?

Am I right in thinking a 5.4 V8, in a 30' Triple E Class C, on an E450 chassis, would be under powered for our hilly BC terrain?

Yew Wood, IMO.... Yes. While I have minimal experience with a C Class, about 800 miles, I think that more torque needed. My unit is only 26 feet (though a little heavy), and I thought the V-10 did pretty good on I 90 from Washington state back to Wyoming. I truly think you'd want more than the 8 will give you!

E450 should have a V10. The V8 only came in the E350s. Unless it's something unique to Canada, but I doubt that.

The Cutaway came with the V 10, the Commercial Stripped came with the V 8.

Not sure what the difference between the two is.

Yes, I thought maybe either E450 OR V8 was a typo in the ad until I Googled it. http://www.fleet.ford.ca/resources/f...et_LoRes-1.pdf

Thanks to all of you for the quick response and for confirming my suspicion.

I contacted him and asked about engine size and now see he has changed the ad to read V-10.

Looks like a very nice unit. The Triple E always impresses me when working on them.

Yew Wood, The Triple E was on our " very short list" of C Class units. You could do "much" worse! Good Luck

Yeah, right after I posted and got all the replies he/she emailed to say it was a typo. If it was shorter, I would be all over it but will have a look anyway.

GBRG07, nice to see another BCer here.
Any local forums or owners groups?
Somebody around here, knows somebody, that has what I am looking for but just doesn't know it yet.

Here's a link to the brochure for the 2007 Triple E Regal. Sheet 1 calls out the V-10 as "Standard" for both the C25D and C30G versions.
