E450 Weight Rating Options
Trying to find a class C around 24-26 feet that is on the E450. Seems like the shorter the length, the lower the weight rating. I would like to find one with 20K chassis. Know anyone who offers a C on that chassis? Thanks.

Yeah, you're into the Super C chassis area if you're looking for a 20,000# chassis.

Newer e450s have a GCWR of 22,000. And a GVWR of 14,500. The Winnebago 25B is available as an E450.

I guess that I don't understand your issue?
The current E450 cutaway van chassis that Class C motorhomes are built on are rated to carry up to 14,500 total lbs., which includes it's own weight plus any coach structure built onto it.
I'm curious as to how anyone is going to load a E450-based 24-26 foot Class C coach enough to get all the way to 14,500 lbs.?
In our case, there's no way we can load up our 24 foot E450-based Class C so as to get anywhere near the chassis's maximum carrying weight. It would probably be quite difficult to do even qirh a 26 foot Class C built on the E450 chassis.

The 14500 includes the weight of the chassis ,whats built on top of the chassis ,the cargo such as people ,fuel and water etc. The bottom line is it's hard to not go over the weight most all class C units are close to total gross weight unloaded.

Here is a good example, 31ft class c with 2 slides, travel ready, minus food and clothes, includes driver and passenger.
Front 4630#
Rear 9200#
Total13,830 , so I am about maxed out plus tow a 3100# SUV
Sure wish ford would bring back the E550! , yes they did make a E550 for 2 years.

And an even higher percentage are over weight for their rear axles when loaded for travel with water in their tanks.

That is indeed a large Class C to expect to be carried via an E450 chassis. I would never buy anything with that small of a chassis weight margin.
We wanted a small Class C for maximum travel flexibility but also wanted chassis overkill under it for optimum reliability, handling, braking, cooling, gearing, etc., so we looked for one built on the manufacturer's optional E450 chassis.
When we bought our new slideless Class C years ago, it's almost fully loaded weight back then was around 11,800 lbs.. Anything above that we have added through the years still in no way gets anywhere near the 2005 E450 chassis maximum weight rating of 14,050 lbs..
So no ... not all Ford E450 or Chevy 4500 based Class C motorhomes are, or have to be, overloaded ... if one keeps that in mind at purchase time.
P.S. If the E550 chassis had still been available when we purchased our Class C we might have regretted specifying it, as those front leaf springs it had (instead of coils) would have been a real ride-killer in our little Class C!

My 32 1/2' Class C with about a 12' or so slide out, has a 3,275# OCC. I first weighed it after having it for about 5 months, and fully loaded for camping (I thought) with my wife and I in it, it weighrd 11,940#. I weighed it about 5 years later, after adding who knows what and it was 13,080#. Still well under the 14,500# GVWR.

Last time I shopped for an RV it seems one could find CCC listed on the manufacturers sites. I guess they realized they were such lies that nobody even bothers to list them anymore.
