electric step rug

trying to order correct size electric step rug. ordered a 22"x23" but does not fit due to metal rollers on each side of step mechanism. sent 2 back so far. none of rugs say you can trim them to fit. concern is rug may interfere with automatic step.

Kwikee states not to use rugs or mats on them because they will interfere with operation. You know why and how to eliminate said interference. There are narrower brands of rugs and scrubber mats sold.

If you have more than one step, make sure there is adequate distance between them for the rug/mat to prevent binding.

I have a scrubber mat that is 6" shorter than the step width, been using it for 9 years, but then I only have one Kiwkee step into the MH, no chance of binding between steps.
