I recently rewired my Sunseeker from 30A to 50A service, preparing for the future addition of a 2nd AC unit and an induction cooktop. Only remaining propane device will be the furnace...we have a couple of electric infrared heaters, so we only use the furnace if are overnighting at a Walmart or something (and then we sometimes use the Big Buddy heater instead). I'm really only keeping the propane for future resale value, and I've toyed with removing/storing the tank, and using the space for more storage towards the front of the motorhome, then replacing if/when we sell.

I have the Progressive Industries EMS-PT50X (plug model) just *after* a 50A Hughes Autoformer. The Hughes Autoformer boosts voltage from about 95 volts to correct for brown power (low voltage) at RV parks. I'm amazed at how many parks have low voltage...I used to always measure before I connected. The EMS-PT50X protects from severe under/over voltage (voltage that would be under what the Autoformer can correct for). Both the EMS-PT50X and the Autoformer have surge protection as well. So, we will always have good power (via the Autoformer), or no power (via the EMS-PT50X), which is the desired result.

I have the plug models for each, with the idea being that if either fails I can bypass just by moving plugs. I was fortunate in the design of our Sunseeker that it had a (useless) garbage bay under the galley counter with an outside door (we prefer the counter space rather than the hole for garbage), so I put both the Autoformer and the EMS-PT50X in that bay, so they are protected from both theft and weather.

I use the TST 507 TPMS...works fantastic, and customer service is unbelievable. I once called and left a message with a question on a Friday night (a few years ago when we still had our trailer) expecting a return call the next Monday. About 20 minutes later (I think it was about 10pm my time, half way into a glass of wine) I get a call, and spent the next 20 minutes chatting about how their TPMS works. TST actually has a large business providing TMPS solutions for the trucking industry, so they have odd hours...they are "there" when truckers need help, which turns out to be later in the day/evening. I did need their booster to pick up the rear wheels reliably in the Sunseeker (95% of the time it worked fine without it), but it's inexpensive and easy to install. I especially like the temperature monitoring for each tire...it's interesting to see the huge difference between the sun side and the shade side when driving down the road.

+1 on EEZ

This is the one I use. Continuous display, easy to add drop Toad vehicle from the display. If you're not towing, you can buy with fewer sensors.

I added a repeater to keep signal from rear tires on Toad strong, but it may have worked without it.

Can't say enough good about this unit. I have also used TireMinder products in the past, but this is better.

I have the Progressive PT 30 portable EMS, and it has saved us multiple times. Perhaps the most memorable time was when I was parked in a lot for three weeks at Cleveland Clinic while my wife underwent heart surgery. The electric pedestals in the lot for RVs were hooked up to the parking lot lights and when they went on the voltage would drop so low it was dangerous to use. The EMS would shut down the power. At that point I would switch to generator.

As for TPMS, we have a first generation TireMinder, it is buggy, but works. If I were to buy another I'd consider another brand but only because this unit has some built-in flaws that cannot be overcome. Company response to my inquiries over the years has been so-so.

I am using the Progressive hardwired and the lifetime warranty was the selling point. Works well in everywhere we've been.

Added the TireTraker for all tires including the toad and it also has a lifetime warranty and am very happy with it. Had another tire monitor system and it was not as good or always connecting. Too much trouble to deal with it.
