Electronic brake controller

We bought a used 2010 Fleetwood Jamboree which came equipped with a Primus 90160 brake controller so I am wondering if Flat or dolly towing our 2015 Chevy Equinox will work with this unit. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

If the dolly has electric brakes it might work with it. Most dollies have either electric, or inertia driven (surge) braking.
I don't think it will work flat towing a vehicle, but that's just a guess.
2015 Equinox requires a towing package to flat tow, according to some towing guides (Trailer Life), and others suggest puling fuses and running the engine 5 minutes before starting and at each fuel stop (Dinghy towing guide). Consult OM for precise requirements.

There is only one flat tow breaking system the uses a trailer brake controller and they state you must use their controller. That is Brake Buddy.

As of right no Sept 27, 2021.

I believe this is what John is referring to -

Been thinking about upgrading my old Roadmaster with something I wouldn’t have to lug around and this seems like the only one out there at present.
