No shore power cord and no generator outlet to plug into? The weeds suddenly went from knee-deep to thigh-high! OOPS!

Luckily I don't live in it and Amazon delivers overnight!

Got a step closer but not done. I chalk it up to my learnings.

Carburetor came in and after some struggling I got it in. Unfortunately I was too rough and damaged the paper gaskets to the point of not having any in place. Generator started but died immediately giving me hope that I am on the right track.

Can't find replacement gaskets online so just bought another carburetor kit to try this one more time with experience on my side. Will likely trace the gaskets before I install so that I can make some if needed. I can't believe they can be this critical and be so fragile and unique.

You are probably right based on the material in play. I didn't want to raid the pantry and risk the DWs wrath so I bought some material for cheap (maybe $5) on Amazon, traced some extras, and my daughter cut them out for me. Tomorrow is a patient and hopefully a successful installation.

Generator Started!!!

Put the gaskets in and got it up and running. Ran 10 minutes, then . . .LOL Stopped on me. Throwing a code that says:

Overfrequency Fault. Engine governor unable to maintain rated frequency. Corrective action: See an authorized Onan dealer.

Celebrating that the engine at least sounded like a kitten and ran for 10 whole minutes... then googling a new challenge.

I have a feeling it is the linkages. One of them is a little looser than I expected and a quick search pointed towards that as one possibility.

Reconnected the linkages to make sure nothing was wrong. Ran another 15 minutes then stopped. Then ran 5 and stopped. Threw error codes 14 and 15 today. Looking online I see a video that says take out some oil as it may be heating up and causing the trip when it expands/pressures up. Going to try that tomorrow as I did add oil thinking it was low and apparently these are tricky.
