Mike, how to you gain access to the closet area where these components are located. Judging from your pictures, there must be a rather large opening that can be obtained by removing something. Is it the panel with the circuit breakers and fuses in it?

Thx

Makes ya wonder what idiot thinks mounting a WATER FILTER above electronics/ circuit boards is a good idea? Is there room for a bucket, or will ya need a plastic bag to change? Wow?

[QUOTE=tennsmith;6324347]Mike, how to you gain access to the closet area where these components are located.

Take out the two drawers above helps a lot. I bypassed the filter and use an outside one now. If you have a TSB that requests a gasket be placed under slide, please be cautious. Jayco added them, but the most forward one got caught in the undermount and damaged the lower slide rails which in turn took seven weeks to get the parts and repair. As the technician drove out after repair, the rv lost brakes and power steering that was caused by two hose breaks. It was towed to a Ford Commercial location for warranty repairs. When completed I sold the unit to Camping World.

I think you made a wise decision. Now you are much smarter in what to inspect for when shopping for a replacement.

I own an odyssey 26M my wiring looked exactly like yours before I cleaned it up as you have. Also, it seems if Entegra sends all their trash out the door in the coach. under every cabinet there was every pice of sawdust and holes drill outs and wire sheathes. No need to clean or vacuum?

Just took delivery on an Odyssey 26M. How did you access to the area with the converter, inverter, etc. (the so-call rats-nest)? (I assume its behind the Breaker/fuse panels).

Having owned RV's for 40 years, my opinion is that manufactures could care less what's under the skins as customers put little to no emphasis on this when purchasing a unit. I've owned myriad RV's from a small TT to a $400K Class A and (under the skin quality) is inevitably lacking.

I just found your thread as I am the new owner of a used 2021 24B and was excited to follow your ideas. I was shocked when I removed the wardrobe drawers and saw the rats nest of wiring and devices there also. My water pump was hanging on the fittings and there was evidence of water leaking there. I want to bypas the filter and clean up the wiring also. Sorry to see you sold the unit but I understand why.

Many of the same issues with mine plus some with 2022 Odyssee 24B.
1. Hydroboost Leak - Repaired under for warranty
2. Air bag warning light remained on, broken wire under pax seat - repaired under Entegra Warranty
3. Awning miss aligned - repaired myself
4. Drawers came open will traveling - repaired myself
5. Wiring rats nest cleaned up - tightened water lines, bypassed water filter
6. Covered exposed wiring and plumbing under RV with pipe insulation
7. Undercounter and above slide strip lights still not working - looking for fuse.
Improvments
1. Built battery box under kitchen sink replaced cheap batteries with two 100AH high quality lithium batteries.
2. New lithium converter
3. Two more 200W watt solar panels
4. Renogy DC To DC charger under step to protect alternator

Knew I was going to have issues when I bought a motor home. As soon as I figure out under counter fuse location, I might be happy with with this RV.
