I installed a Double Din Sony radio in my E450 dash.

The dash opening is a bit small but was easily trimmed open.

They sell an install and wiring kit to matchup the wires.

It took a few hours. All of the wires were at the back of the old radio. You pull them out the hole to adapt.

They supplied a color chart from the Ford colors to the Sony colors. Most were the same, If I recall.

I used scotch lock wire connectors and left the Ford plug intact. When I traded the RV in, I put the Ford radio back in.

The Sony is now in my 2017 Axis.

If you pay crutchfield $20 they will wire the Sony harness to a factory Ford harness and you will just unplug the existing one and plug in the new one. They do a great wiring job and makes things very easy

Oscillating multi-tool great for trimming plastic to fit radio in, but FORD specific pigtail adapter easiest, and then LEAVE factory wiring undamaged.

I replaced mine with a Kenwood. Easy peasy! Match wire colors and splice. No dash mods necessary.

I have a 2018 Coachmen that has a Jensen 9000rv. This unit really does not work like I would like so we are using a Garmin GPS. Does anyone know what they are using in the new units 2020 and above? The unit I have has the 3 camera inputs.

2021 Ford E450 Entertainment System

Did you get the issues worked out with the Sony head unit? I have one of these Ford's and I am having trouble finding a suitable stereo upgrade.

Oscillating multi-tool can b great help if small plastic strip removal required to fit; get adapter plugs and trim kit to match vehicle.
