Expounding on this......
RV manufactures purchase an RV-specific packaged chassis from Ford. It comes with these deviations.
- no seats (has a disposable mounted cafeteria seat for "lot" driving.
- no outside mirrors
- no floor covering
- no headliner
- no rear wall
- no radio (radio is optional)
- has two different lengths of antennas (shorter one to clear class C over-hang)
- has a higher amperage alternator
- has creatures comforts like a/c, power windows, power door locks, cruise control
- has decorative front styling (chrome grille and such)
- has rear harness extension (for RV tail lights and towing electricals)
I am missing much, but you get the idea.
Here is a picture of a chassis on an RV assembly line. Unfortunately it does not show the lower area with the disposed of cafeteria seat and bare steel floor.
So when you are talking about seat covers, it will be a hit-or-miss having them fit nicely on your particular "RV manufacture supplied" seats.
