Fresh Water Tank won't Fill ??

2016 Coach Leprechaun Class C:
Today (Sunday) before leaving for Tampa FMCA rally tomorrow can't fill my fresh water tank. FMCA rally is electric only, where we're parking. Dry camped last month and tank filled okay. Double checked all I knew to look at and cannot find problem. Is there something like a water check value inside the city water connection screw in port on the coach? All help would be appreciated, thanks.

It would be helpful if you told us more about what's going on. Are you trying to fill it and there's a spill? No water goes into the tank via a fill valve? No water going in through a gravity feed? What exactly is happening that makes you think it isn't filling? Does your coach fill from the city water connection at all? Not all do.

No water is going into the tank from the city water connection. I've let the hose run for 30 minutes and did not see the level of the fresh water tank rise. Last time I fill the fresh water tank it took about one hour to fill. Thanks

ONE HOUR to fill? How big is the tank?

Do you have any water at the faucets when you are attempting to fill the tank?

Do you have to move a lever directing the water to go to the tank fill instead of the faucets? In my coach, the handle that diverts the water to the tank stripped, and although the handle moved, the valve stem did not.

There may be a screen at the inlet where you connect the water hose. Check for "stuff" clogging the screen.

Can you see if there is a kink in the water line going to the tank?

Does your coach have a external gravity fill there you can pour the water into it to fill the tank?

Does your coach have a winterizing valve that keeps RV antifreeze from entering the tank? Is that valve fully open?

I think I found a picture of yours water fill area. Does yours have a blue handle to switch from city to tank fill? check to make sure the valve stem is turning when the blue handle is turned.

Wow! Electrical switches right next to water connections is a bad design. Those are 12V switches so no worries about safety, only reliability.

I agree with you....maybe the blue handle is turning but the valve itself is not rotating.

YES.....there is a check valve inside that Hose connection assembly

They can get cockeyed and restrict flow coming in
They can get dislodged and prevent flow coming in

Thanks to all who responded. Found it was "user error". After reviewing all your comments retraced my steps last time I filled my water tank . . . and I remembered there is a separate filler cap just for the water tank. Ready to go to Tampa!!! Thanks.
