I have the same tires on my 2019 gulfstream. They have just under 15,000 miles and they still look great. At this moment I would buy them again. They still look new

I have a little over 21k on my Hankooks to date. No issues at all and they seem to be wearing well.

Hankook tires.

We bought a used Thor Quantum GR22 in 8/20 which was a 2019 with 3500 miles. Last year at about 7000 miles I inspected the Hankook tires and saw hairline cracks in the sidewalls.
The Chassis was a 2018, so I assume that the chassis sat in a lot at Thor waiting to be completed.
I admit I did not cover the tires.
To me when the tires were properly inflated they looked low on air.
I bought 6 new General Grabber HD tires and noticed the sidewalls didn’t seem to sag as much.
I inflated according to the placard and the Motorhome seemed to handle a little better, but did ride a little more harsh.

We recently traded for a new 22 Coachmen Leprechaun which came OE with the Hancooks.
I will cover them now.

For reference, back in 2007 when we special ordered our Phoenix Cruiser HERE.

The tires were dated week 50 of 2006, the chassis was manufactured in April 2007, Phoenix USA received our special order on May 4th 2007 and we picked up the finished rig from the factory on June 26th.

So we received a brand new motorhome made in a very timely fashion with tires that were over 6 months old.

Last year I bought my first set of replacement tires from Discount Tire that were manufactured (date-coded) 3 months earlier. The store I selected, did not have the tires in stock at the store. They had to request them from their warehouse.

The first Discount Tire store I called, had 6 new tires with various older date codes, so I bought the tires from the store that had to get them from their warehouse. I hoped to get more recently made tires and my strategy worked.

The original tires lasted 14 years and 38,000 miles. Because the rig is lighter weighted requiring only 63 psi in back, 43 psi up front, and the rig is always kept in climate-controlled storage when not on trips, the original tires lasted that long with only micro-cracking that formed. I would have gone even longer but started to get very uncomfortable stretching it further.

I replaced 4 of the 6 wheels with Alcoa alloy wheels. Here are the original 14 year old take-off tires with OEM steel wheels that I sold on Craigslist. At a glance, they look like new take-offs.

A lighter weighted rig stored indoors except when in-use, makes all the difference.

If you study this picture closely, you can see the micro-cracking around the date code 5006.

Actually 23k on the tires as I’m out with the RV now. I have a 2019 Entegra Odyssey 31L - 32’ 6” … bunk model. Checked the front tires and they have a date code of 5217 … don’t see the date code on the rear, strange. In any case, I always keep the tires covered while in storage and that seems to be a wise investment.

On a 2017 Ford E450 platform, our 2018 Sunseeker has over 66,000kms which is over 41,000 miles on our Hankook Dynapro HT tires, with date code 4917…….(49th week of 2017). Still a lot of tread to go, and no visible sidewall cracking, and I cover them when parked more than a couple of weeks.

Good even-wear thread, no side-wall or between-thread cracking, and less than the full 80 psi loading = extended use. How much? It depends on how you feel about it. Some people are quick to replace tires due to age. Others like me, I am comfortable going a lot longer.

My 2017 Axis E450 chassis has 35,000 miles on it and the original Michilen tires.

They were 6 years old last October. Been from NY to FL. and back since, never covered and they look good.

Check the air pressure twice a year and set it to the Federal placard in the RV. 75 front 80 rear.

Look at Firestones. Try and heavy duty truck shop that service semi trucks. I did and got a great deal on my tire replacement.
