EDIT - Full body paint - no stickers or vinyl graphics.

I am basically looking for Newmar, Foretravel, Tiffen Class A quality in a Class C.

Ideas, any of you Class C guys?
I would go with a New class C/B+, that way you get the new 7.3 Ford V-8 with the 6 speed.

It drives so much better and quieter over the V-10 and does not hunt for gears in the mountains.

10 years old will be hard to find a full body paint.

I have the Gulfstream BT Cruiser, its not as quality as you want so don't go there but its is nice for the price.

Thank you all for the great info. I am still trying to talk her out of this as I much prefer the big Class A DP we have, but you've all certainly given me lots to think about and lots of points of interest to proceed with should I fail in my desire to change her mind.

There is a class C and then there is a "Super C" The Super C is supposed to be one of the safest RV's out there. They have big diesel up front and I think a nice interior. You might look at Dynamax Super C as it is much nicer than a 24' class C.

We pickup our new Leisure Travel Van Unity Murphy Bed model on July 2. OCCC on this unit is 1,282 pounds. The fresh water tank consumes 214 pounds of this capacity if full. We do some dry camping but little boondocking...usually have electric connected. We're gonna expand our horizons a bit and go without power as there's 200W of solar and 230AH of batteries aboard. www.leisurevans.com

LTV has been making this model for 11 years. I've seen a few 2013-2014 vintage units listed on RV trader. You, and your wife, may find one acceptable for your needs. Good Luck!

I am blow away that no one has recommended a Born Free Motorhome. They are hard to find and no longer produced, but they sit at the top of the charts in terms of build quality.

Unubtainium

The weight limitations of the class c configuration will not allow for the premium doors, counter tops, and towing capacity that you are accustomed to. You will have to adjust your expectations or stay in the a or super c style unit.

Hmmm. We have Corian Countertops though only 1/2" thick to control weight.

We also have a sturdy main entry door with a seriously strong frame and a nice retractable screen door.

Yep. Totally agree. I toured the factory about a year before they shut down (what a shame). The only cab and chassis motorhomes built with roll bars that I know of.
