How long is service taking

Class c owners, how long are you having to leave your rv at dealership for service and a few additions? It took me 2 months for the appointment. I took it in the 10th and they need it for a month to give me 3 estimates on changing vents for fantastic fans, complete hvac service., look over my roof and alignment. Seems slow to me. Are you guys experiencing the same thing?

After being overcharged , delays and having to personally fix the repair their untrained and little experience techs did to my MH , I have sworn off Major RV shops .

Found a local RV Repairman with a wall full of Training Certificates and years of experience .

Without the overhead of a large shop , he's reasonably priced.

His estimates and schedule commitments are accurate , and he stands behind his work .

Since he's the Owner and Tech , he doesn't need authorization to do any warranty work , and I don't have to spend weeks arguing with a half dozen people I kept getting transferred too , with none of them having the authority to make a decision.

I have his personal cell number , and he is always willing to provide help with my questions.

Try to get that kind of service from a Major RV Shop .

I am going to try a certified mobile tech next. This is getting a bit ridiculous. I dont see this changing any time soon. CW was longer.

The big dealers are probably going to do other quick in and out repairs first, easy money, even though you have a set appointment. They should have scheduled time for the estimate.

Why else would they make you wait for 2 months to get it in and then tell you it will take another month just to get you an estimate?

They should be able to you a close estimate on everything except maybe the HVAC service right away.

I have a mobile tech. He gets me in quickly, does great work and is way cheaper than most dealers.

When making appointment tell them you live full time in rig and will be sitting in waiting room on day of repair appointment to leave with rig. I never leave RV behind. If they refuse and it is warranty work call customer service and let them authorize a Mobil tech or other company that will fix repair on day of appointment. Good luck. I fell your pain

Enjoy the journey

MHSRV in Alvarado, TX

My 2020 Entegra Esteem has been in for warranty at Motorhome Specialist in Alvarado, TX since Dec 10. The work was complete when Entegra issued a recall on the auto leveling Hydraulic Pump bracket and a Technical Service Bulletin for the ladder. Coach was supposed to be done this week but have yet to hear from them.
Oh, I also had to wait for 30+ days just to get in for service.... I will start doing all my service once the warranty is expired.

Oldracer you feel my pain. I got a call yesterday. Should be ready at the end of next week. I opted not to take some of my "wish list" upgrades for fear it would take another 3 weeks to finish. I have trip reservations end of this month. They did mention some things would be back ordered also. I guess parts for some stuff are still hard to get.

They Finally Called! The coach is going to be done sometime this week. Tech was to complete the last work item yesterday. Service Manager promised he would have the coach detailed after he personally inspected the work and operation of affected systems. Perfect timing for Spring trips.
