I just purchased a 2020 Isata 3

I am currently setting up a toad (Chevy spark) and wonder if there is already a 12v line running to my 7 pin connector that can be used to charge the battery on my toad?

#4 contact is 12v but often it’s not hot from the factory and you need a relay on one of the fuse blocks. Easy to test before digging in to it. But since it’s probably 16 ga wire, not sure how much it would help with keeping your battery up.

These are pictures of how we hooked up our sonic using coach power and a fuse disconnect. We never use car power.

The 12V is hot on the Isata 3. I owned one for 3 yrs and I used a line from the Isata 3 to keep my toad battery charged. I used the RVI battery maintainer but there are many options.

The 2 o’clock pin on the Isata 3 plug is the 12v line (see post 2).

Would love to hear your thoughts on the 2020 ISATA 3 purchase... we are looking at it as well and have a toddler so we think it might. Be the perfect size.

What is your spark model? I have one and it has manual transmission. I don’t even worry about it anymore. Do not pay attention to the manual at all it tells you to turn the key on, then they came out with a bulletin saying disconnect the negative battery cable, if you leave your on as told you will engage your esc system bad news the car wheels will squeal on turns and cloverleafs. Now I found and have pulled it over 4000 miles I just leave it in neutral and pull it, but my Spark doesn’t have locking steering.

I checked my RV and as you stated it already has 12v at pin 4. I have ordered a charger from RVibrake and will be hooking it up soon.

We really like our ISATA 3. It handles well and I often find myself driving with one hand. We have some features that make it pleasant to live in. My wife and I opted for recliners instead of a dinette. We can relax and watch tv comfortably. The queen bed is very Comfortable in the rear. We have auto levelers that are great. Makes it so easy to set up. The porcelain toilet is great. Best RV toilet that I have seen. The built in sun screens on the front windows are really easy to use and give you full and easy access to the cab area. You will like your ISATA 3.
