It will be a trade off. You may have pushed yourself away from the table so to speak for many campgrounds, if you are hooked up. Some campgrounds offer storage parking. Once you are unhooked you should fit most.

We move around to much. Normal trip no more than three nights at any CG. We like to be nimble; There have been many times we disconnect the toad before the campground just to pull through the tight CG.
I guess if I was staying in one place for a long time. I might think about bring all my toys??

One thing that we have done to the coach is get it set up for boondocking, which we really enjoy. We used to be boaters in the PNW, last boat was 52 foot and very seldom did we go to marinas. We have found so far boondocking and being at a anchorage with our boat quite similar.
We have a trip planned in April which we will go to two state parks and one rv park, the rest of the time we will boondock.
Yes the turning radius of my coach sucks but I have learned to deal with it and be careful where we take the coach, not saying I won't get two-blocked at some point but I am aware of it.

At 75' - aren't you 10' over the limit for Arizona?

Ok, we're 45 ft with a 20 ft enclosed trailer and finding campgrounds that work is a challenge. Even some who claim to be "Big-Rig" friendly really aren't. We've had some that say their sites are 70 ft long that we barely fit. Have used overflow parking a lot and always use wheel locks! We've come to love fairgrounds and such because they're generally designed to handle trucks with livestock trailers that have living quarters. We have a Stacker but only use it when taking a car to a show where we'll want another vehicle.

Concerning the motorhome itself, some national parks like Yosemite NP limit the length of motorhomes in some of their camp grounds to 30 feet. There are also some roads within such parks where there are length restrictions due to the hair-pin turns.
So if you find something ideal at 31 feet, you might want to look more closely at something one foot shorter. I am talking "measured" length here.

Looking at a 45 ft coach pulling a 25 foot long car hauler with the pickup truck. That will make us 70 and I am pretty sure we are going to add a trailer toad of some kind.
Help me here but if you can't get in with 70 ft are you going to have any more luck with 60 ft.
I would have no problem dropping the trailer. I actually figure I would have to even if I had a 35 or a 40.
I guess my big concern is about moving the 45 foot Monaco around without the trailer. Are there issues getting that beast into parks?

Just thought I would report on our summer trip. We spent six weeks traveling from Arizona up through some of the Midwest, spent quite a bit of time in South Dakota. Stayed in rv parks all but a few nights, even made last minute reservations.
Yes it is tougher having a rig as big as ours especially pulling the stacker making reservations at some of the parks but it is doable. We even stayed at a couple of state parks. And having the space for toys, tools, spare parts or whatever without stuffing every nook and cranny in the coach is great.
I know it’s not for everyone but we are glad we went this route..

That is the most important - you are happy.
Some say 30 foot is redonkulous, some say 40 is just right. Me - bigger is better!

Would love to see a photo of the new stacker. One of the whole rig would be great. Thanks for the follow up post. Glad your summer travels went well.
