Jackknife Sofa conversion to loveseat Recliners?
Love our Class C Four Winds but trying to figure out a more comfortable way to enjoy evening tv. Sitting in the booth for a long time kills my back and the jackknife sofa isn't that comfy. Has anyone replaced the sofa with RV wallhugger loveseat recliners? Curious how it worked out and if you have photos, that would be great.

Chairs
We picked up 2 Chairs from IKEA and put them in place of our couch last week. The TV is mounted under the cabinet, over the table.
We had to fill in the laminate floor, since the rug was still under the couch but it looks great to us and is very comfortable.
We plan on getting a 12 inch wide end table to place between them, before we screw them in place. Until then we will seatbelt them in, when traveling.

Fortunate for me I have one of the more comfortable sofas in my RV. I have a flat screen tv on the far end of the table. Make it easy to enjoy tv for long periods in comfort. Maybe tearing out the old sofa and replacing it with a more conventional coach. People are always selling RV sofas on Craigslist. You might find a higher quality one there.

I put a 50" TV in the overhead area and made the dinette into a big couch with over stuffed pillows and have a recliner with ottoman on the other side. Both wife and I can stretch out. We can watch from the bed also.

Jackknife Sofa conversion to loveseat Recliners?
We have a 31.5' Winnebago 31C and did what you are thinking of doing. The dinette and jackknife couch were not made for extended sitting. We got two recliners with one arm each removed. We attached them together with a bar and then mounted them in place using the original mounting bolt locations from the couch. The set up was 1 1/2" shorter than the couch. We can nap, watch tv, read, and all in all relax now in comfort. Best part is putting the leg rest up after driving all day and just relaxing. I don't have photos right now but will find a couple and attach.

Sparky - you are a certified GENIUS!
Forget the overpriced recliner loveseats. The 2 recliner chairs don't even have to perfectly match if the respective his & hers backsides prefer different seating comfort.

We removed the uncomfortable FlexSteel sofa from our Bounder and replaced it with a La-z-boy wall-away reclining sofa (not RV furniture). Just take careful measurements of your available space and the doorway, then start shopping.

Roger:
Is it a chair that one can sit in for two or three hours? Are yours the leather ones? I noticed you are fulltimers, since we have not seen them, does it look like they will last two years of extended use?
thanks
