Jump Start Chassis Battery

Just checked on my rig (Thor Class C) and house batteries are dead. I have a portable battery jump starter. Is it possible to hook this thing up to house battery to start the generator.
The rig has one of those auxiliary power switches, I tried to use but no luck. It may be for just starting vehicle battery.

Start the big engine and let it charge the house batteries. If it don't, there is a bad solenoid, same one that boost starts.

Yes you can jump start the generator but if you have to, you still should fix your problem.

The reason the emergency start did not work is because it is powered by the house batteries. You can jumper the emergency start solenoid and have power to the generator.

Yup, but starting the engine does the same thing. Much simpler.
