I would say no, it is not okay, according to the sticker on our motorhome.
And my tip: Unless you are a professional, don't mess around with it, too many components and setup's you do not know about.
We had a leak on our passenger side in spring this year. Had an authorized dealer (Air Lift) inspect it, they found out that the air line on the passenger side was missing the heat shield. It runs very close to the exhaust (Ford E series super duty chassis).
The air line was worn and had a slow leak. So did the air bag. They did not find the leak on the air line until they replaced the air bags, and then still had a very very slow leak.
Naturally we had both (bags and lines) replaced, and the heat shield installed. They tested the whole system and it is all perfect now.
Just having checked the pressure a few days ago, it was only 2 psi down after sitting for 30 days, just like it was before.
Our sticker states, besides that 100 psi is the maximum inflation pressure, that a minimum of 50 psi must be maintained for safe operation and that 25 psi or less will cause damage to the motorhome. We have air bags in addition to the regular shocks.
Our leak occurred during a trip, but was slow, about 25 psi every hour. So we inflated close to the maximum and stopped every hour to refill (despite a downpour). The pressure never went below some 60 psi, so we were safe.
