Leveling Jacks, Up or down

We just downsized from a Prevost marathon to a Sprinter Leisure Travel Van. This is the Unity model with auto leveling jacks. My question is while the coach is not in use should we have the jacks up or down? My rig is parked in my Climate Control garage.

Leave them up, slides in and fridge off with the doors open when stored.

I'd put the jacks down enough to remove some weight on the tires and make walking around inside the RV a little more comfortable. With the climate controlled environment rust on the jacks shouldn't be an issue.
Leave a note on the steering wheel so you don't try driving away with the jacks down.

I like your response, because when we are not using the coach we continue to walk in and do things on occasion. Our Coach Garage is connected to our home so it is convenient to stroll over and check things out.
Is there any disadvantages with leaving the coach on jacks, such as ware, stressing the jacks or anything else concerning?

I have always put the jacks down to take a little weight off the suspension. Seems like components would last longer that way and the jacks don't care.

I retract my jacks. Mainly to keep dirt and dust from accumulating on them.

Same here! Don't see any point in leaving them exposed, even in a climate controlled building. There is no maintenance (WD40ing, wiping off, cleaning) needed if they're left retracted.

I look at it this way, cars, trucks, semis, you name it,,, sit on their suspensions forever. They have no jacks, their tires/suspensions are rated to carry the vehicle's weight. Why would a motorhome's suspension need to be treated any differently? And what about all those motorhomes that have no jacks?

Jacks up for me. I don’t want any surprises when I have to move the coach. Also as mentioned above. The jacks stay clean when up.
