Loose Dinette Table brackets

Hello fellow RVers!

I have a 2005 Coachman Freelander 3100 SO where the dinette mounting brackets in the wall have pulled loose. There does not appear to be anything in the wall to mount the screws into . I am wondering if anyone has seen this before and if you might have a good fix for. I have considered using drywall screws, rivets, gorilla glue, etc but want this fix to last as long as possible. Any help is appreciated!

I imagine you could get something from this page to work

I moved the brackets over 1/4”, drilled new holes and put new screws in. Then babied the table, they can’t take much abuse.

Thanks, I am looking at different types of wall anchors instead of using the standard "screw type" drywall anchors. Whatever I use has to hold as much as possible on the other side of the wall. I appreciate the link, it gave me more ideas!

I considered doing this and I suppose 1/4 of an inch won't offset the table to much but you are right, these tables are not meant for heavy duty use and are fragile to be sure! Thanks for the additional ideas!

Looks like you're not having much trouble with your table. Thanks for the picture.

I can picture 1-1/4- to 1-1/2" course drywall screws to attach a 1x4 to wall with CONSTRUCTION ADHESIVE. (screws to hold while adhesive cures).. Existing wall is (most likely) 1/4" plywood (maybe thinner 5mm?) glued to 1-inch foam board/ with 1/4-ply glued to fiberglass skin. THEN SCREW TABLE TO THE 1/4?

THene's fix looks like your best shot "to last as long as possible".

A piece of hardwood from the HD hardwood rack might do well in place of the 1X4? It would "stick out" into the seating space a tiny bit less. I'd even consider using "T Nuts" as fasteners but you'd want to trial fit it all before the glue up (probably overkill.) https://www.homedepot.com/s/t%2520nuts?NCNI-5

Good luck with the fix, and ............. safe travels.

This is a great idea helping to reinforce the wall with another piece of wood. I will take this idea under advisement. Thanks for the help!!

Thanks for the additional info. Hardwood would look nicer for sure. I'm considering using 3/8" toggle bolts for the existing holes then drilling four additional holes, two on each side of each of the wall brackets, and using rivets in those holes. The finishing touch would be to used construction adhesive on the backs of each of the plates for extra strength. Thoughts??

1x4 is dimension for glue surface area/ strength, feel free to use any wood, painted or stained, cut/ routed to shape to suit situation.
