Lower Radiator Hose 1996 Ford 7.5 E350
Does anyone know the Part number for the lower radiator hose from the radiator to the oil cooler on a 1996 Ford E350 7.5 Class C motor home. The ones from Gates, RockAuto etc. do not match up.

Is that a made up hose or does it have a hose clamp at each end?

This is a hose you put a clamp on each end 1 3/4" ID straight out of the radiator with a slight downward angle then a 90 degree into the engine oil cooler. Limber on the original hose was F5UA8B273-ADB This is not the slight s bend straight hose found in Gates Sites and others.

Try Napa, that is where I got the last one I changed, very inexpensive. Some manufactures cheap out and sell a hose that you have to trim and fit to various applications. These 7.5's are getting old, along with the rest of us! The hose you are looking for goes between the engine and oil cooler housing, not the lower radiator hose, and are rough to change. Possibly you have the wrong hose installed already?

That hose looks like a common hose. If the parts counterman can't find it by application ask if he can't go to the rack of hoses in the store and find a hose which closely matches up with yours. It may require some cutting but a hose doesn't know what it's being installed on. They also make universal hoses in various lengths and diameters which are flexible and will bend when you install them.
What you need is a parts person who has outgrown his pimples and can think beyond a computer screen or a cell phone and can walk to a shelf or rack without having to ask directions. It's awful easy for someone to say, "Sorry, we don't have that". It's a lot easier than walking a few feet to try helping someone in distress out.

Rock Auto might be able to get the hose if you have a Motorcraft number. They don't have a parts stock or warehouse but are the Amazon of auto parts stores.
I have used the flexible hoses on many applications. The trick to long life is to use a hose which is long enough to be relaxed but not so long as to be rubbing against something which will eventually cause a leak.

Flex hoses are junk. They are too stiff for the rad necks and do cause leaks. They are like those junk flex exhaust repair pieces!
