Minnie Winnie 31G Owner with Issues to fix.

Hello fellow RVers! I have just purchased a 2018 Minnie Minnie 31G.
Whoooo Hooo!!

There are issues that we have to fix right away, such as the shower outer cover has a crack in it, the rear view camera is not working, and there were soft spots on the back wall !

I will be doing lots of reading in these forums to get ideas for repair, replacements, and upgrades. Also for advice on where to go and where to stay.

Hopefully in the future I will have advice to offer other people that are dealing with issues. Looking forward to enjoying my reading and traveling.

Thanks,
Timeshare RV

Thumbs up

Congratulations on your new motor home. Like a boat the day you buy it and the day you sell it are the best. You already have a list of things that need fixing and you will quickly find out how often things just stop working or don’t work correctly. Do yourself a favor and don’t let the little things stop you from having a good time. Since purchasing our 28’ Fleetwood the following has occurred.
1) Refrigerator vent fan stopped working ( wouldn’t cool)
2) AC in the cab of the camper wouldn’t blow out the dashboard only defrost.
3) Water heater igniter needed cleaning
4) Stereo head unit backup camera stopped working
5)Roof mounted AC needed replaced
6) Replaced side awning.
7) retractable steps have been giving me headaches
8) replaced two roof vents and the refrigerator.
9) Various genset problems
Owning a RV is more about properly managing the little things that stop working
as quickly as possible. Ignoring little things can quickly become overwhelming but I have yet to get anyone other than myself to do repairs. Often this requires me to familiarize myself with new things. YouTube, Internet forums etc are excellent resources.

Many rear view cameras (incl. Mine) powered from running lights, so turn on PARK lights with Headlight switch, turn on IGN to power MONITOR, and see if camera works then?

Fix those soft spots 1st, find where its leaking at on the rear cap and stop the leaks, also check and seal the whole RV, soft spots are water getting into the wall, it will ruin the whole rv.

Start their 1st...

I agree that stopping any leaking is first priority. Water is the worst killer of your rig other than a fire.

Also, I have a 2017 Minnie Winnie 26a we got new, so I've been around the block a time or two. Happy to help if I can should you have any MW questions.

Happy travels!

Congrats. One thing for sure is that there will always be something to fix! It's a bit like whack a mole. When one thing's fixed another will appear.

Smile Many Thanks

I want to Thanks all who have replied to me. I know this will be a work in progress. Having a tow behind years back I “knew” what I was getting into. I am sure that I will extract ALOT of information here from other RVers.
Looking forward to maybe also offering advice.

Happy Travels,
