Moving a Class C

I'm new and don't know much about rving . I own a 1978 dodge class c motorhome field and stream that I need to drive 400 miles ( relocating) and I'd rather tow it with my 1997 van ford e250 cause the rv has over 600k miles on it. Either way is frightening. What's the cheapest best way to do this?

Pull the rear axles or driveshaft and call a tow company.

Doing it with a e350 van is reckless.

Two questions,
Is this RV new to you?
If not, has it been giving you any trouble mechanicaly speaking?
Having it towed to your new home is an option if your rich its going to cost an arm and a leg to do that, towing outfits charge for both the trip And the return trip which makes that an 800 mile tow job
The nice thing about the old engines is that they arent loaded with all the sensors and other gizmos to cripple an engine
Change the oil and air filter check the antifreeze, power steering fluid, Brake fluid, check the air in the tires and your spare tire.
Load up some junk food and drive the beast to its new home.
Take your time dont try to drive it at 70 mph, remember back then the magority of roads were only 55 mph

Has it been sitting out in a patch of weeds for decades, or is it running with new or recently-installed tires, working brakes, and fresh gasoline? If the latter, I'd drive it, with someone following along as backup. Towing it with old tires and shot bearings etc is just asking for trouble.
