Mysterious Water Leak INSIDE the Drivers Cab Headliner

There is a leak inside the driver's cab. There are no signs of any leaks on the ceiling anywhere but somehow water has gotten into the cab headliner under the overhead bed. I was thinking maybe some water had gotten into the seal between the cab and bunk cap from up underneath the bunk cap by wind blowing it in there while driving. I don't see how else it could physically get to that spot. Has anyone else had this problem?

Perhaps the windshield is not installed correctly. Is it the original windshield or has it been replaced?
If it's glued in then the sealant is not applied evenly allowing water to get to the interior.
If it is held in place with a rubber gasket then the gasket is defective or not seated to the body correctly.
A reliable glass company the deals with windshields should be able to inspect it and advise you if that's the leak.

I would guess that the seam between the cab roof and the bunk has separated some, allowing water to come in. You would have to remove the trim piece around the bunk board opening and pull back the headliner on the cab roof to see what's going on.

To the OP: Just a note re my 'sperience: I removed that trim piece and looked inside (for other reasons) on my coach. It was not really difficult. The trim piece is just wedged into a slot in the headboard (on my WBGO, that is .... YMMV) and removes (and reinstalls) quite easily.

Best of luck on the diagnosis and fix.

Most common leak cause of running lights, or window frames, but can be roof edge related too. Start w/ lights, pull as much as you can and PUT A FAN on it; it is easy to get a quart-gallon of water under the overcab bed AND nasty ROT/ MOLD/ DELAM real quick. LUCK

Our Coachmen Freelander only has a vynal seal strip between the cab and the coach overhead and the first heavy rain we has the same problem. We also had a squeak in that area. After tearing it apart I found styrofoam rigid insulation causing the sound and no sealant inside between the cab and the overhead. I resealed and reinsulated it myself and have had no more problems. This was a new rig.
