New camper

Just purchased a new to me 99 Coachman Catalina Sport 240WB. Has a few problems that I need to address. Only thing major is generator won't start. I posted a question on another thread. May have to take to a dealer.
Glad to be back after a few years not camping.

I'll see some of y'all out there soon.

I would suggest you use a mobile repair person to check on it. Been hearing horror stories about dealers and the time that they keep you MH. I live the DFW metropolis and called one on Thursday, he was there Monday and good prices.

FIRST, DO NOT OVER-CRANK and burn out starter/ battery; I use 3-second rule, crank 2, pause 3, crank 3; usually starts 2nd crank. MOST vintage rig GENS have FUEL PUMP ISSUES, SO start w/ basic troubleshooting, FUEL, AIR, SPARK. PUMP CAN BE DIY REPLACE FOR $30-$40 AN 60-90-MINUTES. Good Luck. Supply brand/model of GEN, and we can help more?
