Would you please expand on that statement. On a E450 ford chassis with factory tires size 225/75R16 LRE, there is not a 10% margin of tire capacity from the factory if loaded to GAWR. Am I missing something here?

Don't buy michelin. i've looked at a lot of rv's with michelin tires and most show sidewall cracks. I'm trying a set of Hankook tires.Time will tell if they are any good, but all the reviews i found were positive.

Go across the scale twice .. once normally getting ea axle weight than again with one side off the scale .. then do the math.
