New Winnebago Minnie 31KP
We are sad and upset! Sitting in Shreveport at the dealer - 2 days so far. We were on our first camp trip and it was raining and water hit my wife's back. Pulled over and found the overhead bed all wet. Called dealer and they said bring it in. They seem to be really trying but not impressed with Winnebago so far. Issues so far in this one week old 31KP:
1. Water leaking in on overhead bed. Dealer did "air test" and found several leaks - some moulding will have to be replaced. So far they are fixing all leaks and been working on it about 6 hours so far. They sealed all seems yesterday and we spent the night in it at the dealer campground and it rained a lot and all seems ok but they are doing more inspections as I wrote this post.
2. Back up camera has a loose wire connection. They plan to pull dash off today and find and fix that issue.
3. Bathroom sink drain but installed correctly. Drain water coming out under sink.
4. Water pump filter screen leaking - they are replacing.
5. Unit has one slide and a rubber seal on one side looks like it has slipped. Should be easy fix.
Well, all so far. We are on foot - no toad in Shreveport, LA.
Dealer has been trying and even took us to a place for lunch yesterday and came back and picked us up.

Well, hope we are good now. Dealer seemed to be working very hard to fix all. We are now at Atlanta State Park (near Texarkana, Tx) for our first camping in the MH. Last night we slept in her at the dealership but that does not count.

There is no excuses for any of your problems except if the water pump started leaking after they ran it.
" Come on Winnebago your quality control and r&d is slipping"
I hope you can salvage the rest of your trip.

Sorry to hear of all your problems and hope they have all been solved. I found that same leaking water pump issue when I was going through my PDI on my 31K. They told me my leak was due to a missing o-ring/gasket on my pump - quick fix. I had also found when I bought it at an RV show and before picking it up, that the generator didn't work - bad fuel pump - that was fixed before I picked it up.
One other thing you should do, is crawl under the motor home (or have somebody do it) to see if you have any support for the floor between the chassis frame rails, around the kitchen sink area. Mine had about a 6' span of no support and the floor was sagging. I had a local metal fabrication shop fab and install 4 steel cross pieces. Two in that six foot space and they also installed two farther forward to add support under another gap.
Wiinebago/Itasca are aware of this problem and I would assume they have addressed it in units built since mine (Jan. 2013), but you never know.

I forgot to add ( I hate the fact you can't edit a post if more than an hour has passed) that I suggest you pick up a spare tire if yours didn't come with one.
