It looks like they use the Maxforce 7 engine? What year is this engine? How does it pass emissions. In the other forum there are issues with this engine.

Congratulations on your Ghost. It's beautiful. We picked up our Phantom 31P at the end of September and absolutely love it! Enjoy!!

Our new Nexus Phantom 31P

I thought I would brag too. We picked up our Nexus Phantom 31P at the end of September and camped our way back to Texas. We customized it with the "Bently" counter top package, which included the beige marble-look corian, large SS undermount sink, SS high neck sprayer faucet and covers over the range to make it all one level surface. We opted for the real tile back splash. It's all really beautiful! We opted for the convection microwave, which is also SS. We have the hide a bed and opted for the dipped dash. We also got the levelers, which work great! We are newbie RVers, but have been able to set up with a level camper within minutes. We have to get used to driving on the interstate; to me, it's a bit scary, but I've been able to do it. (My husband hurt his back while we were getting the camper and was put on some potent meds; needless to say, I wouldn't let him drive-- trial by fire for me!) The Nexus folks were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were very customer oriented. While my husband and I were there camping on the Nexus property, we went to dinner at the Chubby Trout, a really good local restaurant with great food and great beer. We ran into Claude and Dave, (the owners) and they recognized us immediately. We went on to enjoy our dinner and when we asked for the check, the waitress informed us an anonymous person/persons picked up our tab! Hmmmm, I wonder who that could have been?? The next day my husband hurt his back. Dave was very concerned and offered to help in any way he could. Everyone was fantastic. We ended up staying an extra day on their property, which was not a problem. Everyone was very accommodating. I've probably given you TMI, but in summary, we've been very pleased with our experience with the Nexus folks and absolutely love our RV. I recommend them highly! Here are some photos. As you can see, we travel with the essentials! Hope to see you on the road!!

So where are all the Nexus owners? This topic is 444 days old. Helping my BIL do some research but can find a lot of info about the Ghost or Nexus in general.

Good to hear. Have you had to deal with any issues? Are there any active discussions amongst Nexus owners? I can seem to find them with the search function and there's no Owner's Forum for Nexus.

How well does it perform with the Cummins 6.7, power, driveability, towing etc? Looks like they have plenty of storage space but I can't seem to find an official CCC rating. Have you had it weighed when fully loaded?

I have not weighed it fully loaded. I did weigh it empty (of my stuff). Empty weight includes full fuel and engine fluids. Additional weight when I weighed was full propane (336 pounds) and 25 gallons of water (200 pounds).
It weighed 23116. That leaves a CCC of 2883. The yellow sticker was around 3400 pounds CCC. So if I subtract the water and propane I had on board, that is pretty close.
When I was at the factory they showed me the scales they use as it leaves the facility. So they do weigh them individually.
The cummins does great. My 2017 is 325 HP 750 torque. The 2018’s have 360 HP and 800 torque. Cummins told me they can upgrade my engine to the 360/800. It is a software update and they charge 1100 for it and has full warranty.
I pull a trailer with my track car in it (I use this mostly for the race track) and it does fine. A friend of mine who owns a trucking company said it really pulls well. The Durastar is a grade 6 commercial truck chassis and is really tough. The catering trucks at the airline I work for use the Durastar and they love them.
The ride is like a big truck, not as nice as a Class A, but I like the crashworthiness of the class C.

Good info. Thank you. That's a respectable CCC for a single axle. Does your 17 also have air ride? I hear you about the safety issue. Sitting in front of the front axle took some getting used to. It amazes me how often commercial vehicles have a detuned version of the same engine. Our 2012 C&C F550 is 300 /660 while the pickups were 400 / 800 same year, same engine.
