And motorcycles. The American Motorcycle Association is very vocal in their opposition.

It's only a problem for people who are ignorant of the fact and use it, but there will be some.

Ethanol has roughly 66% of the BTUs of 100% gasoline.

So, 100 gallons of ethanol used in place of gasoline will save roughly 66 gallons of gasoline.

Now deduct the diesel and gasoline used in the production of the corn, moving the corn to market, distilling the alcohol, yada, yada.

I'm having trouble believing it reduces the demand for gasoline at all. It probably actually increases the demand for diesel.

LOL Back when we had lawn equipment I did have a weedeater that failed after about 10 years with a guncked up carburetor, and I had a 14 year old lawn mower that need a new needle valve, but is saw those problems as more of age and not having used ethanol blended fuels in them from the time they were new. Also, I used to buy ethanol blended fuel for them 5 gallons at a time, and sometimes it would take me two years to use that much. Maybe I was just lucky.

I just ordered 1/4 turn fuel cut-off valves for my lawn equipment. I figure it's better to run the machines dry when it's time to shut down the machine. This way the exposure to E15 fuel will be limited to the time of operation rather than 100% of the time.
