Overhead bunk rebuild before and after pics (1994 Gulf Stream Yellowstone)

Next to resealing and painting the roof this was the second hardest thing my wife and I had to do on this RV! But glad we could do it with the AC on : ) I missed a few pics here and there as my wife did most of the demo work before I could get some pics! The stick on foam brick (from Amazon, link below) really classed it up!

We used white vinegar and bleach to kill off any mold. The wood was really soggy and rotten. I opted for 2x4's on the rebuild. It could of been much worse but the left and right sides were still solid : ) I did have to replace all the screws that seal the two metal pieces just below the front window and screwed them into the front plywood (two pieces laminated together with liquid nails... about 1" thick. We resealed all the windows and installed
left and right gutters so the water will not run down the side of the RV with the AC is on.

We're remodeling the bathroom right now and the kitchen seating area will be next with a business office going in that area with a built in pull out kitchen table.

After pressure washing the front window area I notice that I also need to reseal the window glass as the seal had become brittle... was very easy to pull out the outside rubber seal and have my son tap the glass which popped out way to easy... cleaned the area and installed some black silicone sealer... forget the brand but it's made in Germany... RV store recommend it.
