Overhead bunk renovation
I have a class C 1990 Coachman catalina were the overhead bunk had a ton of water damage. I am now in the process of redoing all the wood. And relaminating everything. Can someone help me with understanding what gives the upper bunk it's support? It appears to me that the support comes from the lamination of the wood to the foam and aluminum frame. If so my plans were to glue them in place with liquid nails, I have tub and shower liquid nails for gluing the foam, and on the aluminum frame I'm using a construction grade glue, loctite brand I think. Can anyone see any problems with this plan, if anything I want to make it stronger, defiantly not weaker. Any advice would be great. Thanks
