Please help me figure out the small things that become BIG!

Hi Guys, For openers let me ask about basement doors? I've noticed that many C's have, I don't know the name, but screw style latch closers. Others use a slam latch closing system that seems heftier and better apt to keep the door closed and well set. Am I right about that, or are the screw style latches just as good and will do a good job long time.

What things have you found over the years you'd have me look for in my search? Thanks a lot.

I like the slam latches, I think there stronger, have better locks, and look nicer. But that's just me

From the class c side of the tracks, class c doors are thinner fiberglass and will warp over time if not held down in the corners. This is why I think they get a twist latch in one corner and a keyed twist latch in the other. If it is real wide, they will get twisties in the corners and a keyed twistie in the middle

Mine a 20-yo Class-C rig, and all barrel twist latches good w/ a little TLC and silicone spray dry lube. (Also Great for EVERY other lock, including your HOUSE :-)
Slam latches heavier, yes, but also need the TLC and lube. Does anyone use these on Class-C? or ONLY on Class-A?
