Portable Propane heater

The wave is not an option for me. Living in the Utah/Arizona desert the heater would be ruined from all the dust. It's better in my opinion to just use the onboard furnace. It will flush out any dust once the blower motor kicks on.

I use 1, (or 2), small electric heaters to take the chill off when camping with shore power connected, but since the OP does NOT have "access to electric" that information does him no good.
When dry camping/boondocking I use a BTU Buddy Heater connected to a outside 20# propane tank/cylinder, (with a rubber LP hose run in through a window)
However in COLD weather, (when 9,000 BTUs will not heat the interior of my coach to a comfortable temperature), I also run my propane furnace.

We have used the Wave in Eastern WA, UT, AZ in our truck camper w never an issue and those are all dusty areas.

I have used and still have the original Heater Buddy and the Wave 6. I have a 31 foot class C. In zero degree weather the Wave 6 worked like a gem. The Heater Buddy struggles below freezing. The Wave 6 also burns less fuel and has a wider range of setting hight to low. I have mine on legs and set it in the front of the coach and plumbed a quick connect under the sink using a six foot hose that has me using the coach propane.

In the north east I would bet the Wave 6 would be your best choice. I now use the buddy outside on cold evenings and mornings.
